Puppy Training at DogDayz: Build a Strong Foundation for Your Furry Friend

Welcoming a new puppy or dog into your home is an exciting experience but comes with responsibilities. Training, socialization, and building a bond are essential for raising a happy and well-behaved pet. At DogDayz in Noblesville, IN, we offer two programs to help your furry friend thrive: Puppy Preschool and Beginner Dog Training.

Puppy Preschool: Start Your Puppy Off Right

Puppy Preschool is designed for puppies ages 12 weeks to 6 months and their owners. Children aged 10 and up are welcome with adult supervision. To join, your puppy must have started his/her Distemper/Parvo vaccination series, and proof of vaccination must be provided.

This program focuses on building confidence, social skills, and foundational obedience. Early training is crucial for preventing unwanted behaviors and helping your puppy grow into a well-mannered dog. During class, you’ll address common challenges like chewing, jumping, and potty training while introducing commands such as sit, down, leave-it, and give-it. You’ll also practice leash walking and grooming routines, including brushing and nail trims.

You’ll need to bring a slip lead or harness (no retractable leashes), small treats, and a favorite toy for class. Identification tags, waste bags, and a grooming brush are also recommended. With consistency and patience, you’ll establish a strong bond and set your puppy up for success.

Beginner Dog Training: Master the Basics

Our Beginner Dog Training class is ideal for dogs six months and older who need help with basic manners and commands. Owners must provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations, and children over 10 can also attend with supervision.

This program is tailored to each dog’s learning style, focusing on obedience, leash walking, and addressing behaviors like chewing and jumping. Commands such as sit, down, leave-it, and give-it are reinforced throughout the course. For dogs that master the basics quickly, additional skills are introduced to enhance their training.

For this class, you’ll need to bring a flat collar, slip lead, or harness (no retractable leashes), treats, and a favorite toy. Identification tags, waste bags, and a grooming brush are also helpful.
